Singapore: A Nation Under Siege – From Within

“Interdependence” is neither an insult nor a threat; it is a fact. Singapore is host to some 1.3 million foreign workers that make up close to a quarter of its total population. But even as the grumbling continues over scarcity of prized jobs amid escalating prices, it is a small group of irrational disgruntled Singaporeans – not foreigners – that is really hurting Singapore. If the nation is under siege, it is only from within.
